Sometimes your system just needs a tune-up, much like the engine in your car. Not only will this help prevent problems in the future, it will help your PC run faster and more efficiently. I perform a 10 point check on your system from assessing your configuration to a full virus scan and defragmentation.

Is it time for you to upgrade? If you have anything less than Windows 2000, than YES! Of course, it all depends on how you use your PC, but chances are, you're missing out on a lot of exciting new software if you stay with that old clunker any longer.
Perhaps you don't need a whole new PC, but you've run out of hard disk space. If capacity is the only thing you need more of, than buying a new PC is just a waste.

Data Recovery
Hard drive crash? Lost all your important data including digital pictures, documents, financial's, etc? A recent study determined that PC users replace disk drives 15 times more often than drive vendors estimate. Surprised? Don't be. Hard drives are one of the few moving parts in a PC system.

Permanently Wipe Data
A common misconception is that the data is actually removed from the hard drive when you delete a file. This is NOT TRUE! Any file you delete may be easily recovered, even if you remove it from your Recycle Bin!
When you delete a file, it only removes a pointer to where that file resides on your hard disk. To properly "Erase" data, you need special software to securely remove it.
I have the software tools required to permanently and securely erase your data before you you e-cycle that old hard drive. So if you are ready to upgrade or replace that old system, let me prepare it for disposal and give you peace of mind that all your private data remains private.
Virus/Spyware Removal
Malware is a term used to describe any and all code that can compromise your computer's security and your privacy. It includes both viruses and spyware.
If you have a virus or spyware and don't know how to get rid of it, you're not alone. Frequently, big companies like Symantec and McAfee will write small programs you can run to find and eliminate viruses after the fact.
However, sometimes you have to dig deeper and follow a cryptic procedure which often times requires you to edit your system's registry (a system configuration database that stores settings about installed hardware and drivers, user preferences, installed software, etc). Trust me, you can damage your system pretty badly if you accidentally delete or change the wrong key in the registry. I know; I've done it before.

Troubleshoot that annoying error message you keep getting
Everyone has probably seen the dreaded blue screen!
This is called the Blue Screen Of Death or BSOD. It's name is very fitting because usually when you see this, something has gone terribly wrong.
I used to see this screen a lot with older versions of Windows, but lately they've become more rare, in part thanks to Windows XP. Yet, you still might come across this screen. However, before you chuck that PC out the window, give me a call...
Actually, when the real problem is understood, the solution is usually obvious. Unfortunately, troubleshooting can suck up hours behind your terminal.
Software Installation
Installing software seems like a no-brainer, but it's time consuming and sometimes creates problems with other programs if the wrong options are selected during installation. There is an easy solution---let me do this for you.
Often times software companies market, distribute and sell buggy software. Just because it comes in a new box doesn't mean it's current. I'll make sure the latest and greatest version is installed and up-to-date.
